I'm sitting at the JFK airport waiting to leave for my flight to Istanbul. From there I'll be heading to Bishkek to being my training. I'm so excited.
Yesterday, I arrived in Philly and while nervous, I found myself in a shuttle van with another girl who was in the same Peace Corps. group as me. It helped me feel less nervous about everything knowing that someone else was in the same boat as me. When I got to the hotel I found a number of people in the same boat as me, no one knew anyone and everyone was a little nervous. Everyone was really cool and fun. I'm excited to be heading out on this adventure with them.
